Ruby City CR
Most important person in the entire world tbh. All she's ever needed was Jefferson, because family is what matters most. Grace has been separated from her father until very recently, but now that he's here, so she has nothing to fear. |
Grace didn't know Emma apart from recognising her as the sheriff before arriving here. Since then, she's gotten to know her well enough. Emma is really nice and has helped look out for her, which has made it a lot less lonely than it otherwise would've been. |
Grace is pretty sure Belle is one of the nicest people in the entire world. She's not only been kind enough to let Grace live with her until her father arrived, but she's spent time with her as well. Grace might've caught Belle's love for books, but considering how nice the library is here, that works out well. |
Oh, Prince Thor, how kind and noble you are. Grace adores him; he's become an older brother figure. When he gives her shoulder rides, he's so tall that Grace is certain she can reach the sky. |
If Grace ever admitted to actually hating someone, it would be Regina. She doesn't know all the details to being separated from her father, but she knows that Regina had everything to do with it. It doesn't help that she terrorises Grace every time they talk. Stop making her cry, Regina. That's rude. |
This girl sure does make a lot of cat puns! Grace doesn't know her very well yet, but she's nice and Grace enjoys spending time with her. |
Alice is a few years younger than Grace, but she loves tea parties just as much as she does. This friendship is meant2be. |
Mister Sirius is quite alright. He's kind and has gotten her to smile even when she was sad, so there are bonus points there. She owes him a conversation about the Little Prince. |
Admittedly, Ishimaru is very strange and confuses her. However, he is very earnest to learn and his positive energy is quite infectious. Together, they can strive to do great things! |
She doesn't know Loki very well, but so far she has a good impression of him. Next time she sees him, she'll be sure to have more snacks around so he can take some with him after making sure that they are indeed not poisoned. |

CHARACTER
Name: Grace (Paige post Dark curse)
Canon: Once Upon a Time
Timeline: Post “Lady of the Lake”
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: n/a
Personality: Despite her young age, Grace is perceptive and understanding. Before her life in Storybrooke, she knew what it was like to go without—she spent at least some part of her life living in a small cottage in the forest with her father. She didn’t have fancy clothes or toys, but she was content with what she had. She understood their financial situation and did her best to let her father know that it didn’t matter to her. Even when her father was trying to buy her something she wanted and couldn’t afford it, she did her best to assure him that it was okay. Besides, all she truly needed was her father and the stuffed rabbit he made for her in replacement of the toy he couldn’t afford was even better because he did his best for her.
Her ability to come to logical conclusions suggests combined intelligence and maturity; she might be able to read Jefferson well since she spends most of her time with him. However, coming to the quick deduction concerning Jefferson’s decision to go on a job outside of the woods suggests beyond just that; she inherently knew that doing business with the Queen was dangerous and wasn’t necessary at all. Unfortunately, her voiced concerns were upon deaf ears.
Of course, Grace is still a child. Despite her understanding of things that most children wouldn’t, she has the same wants and needs that they do. She enjoys playing—hide and seek, for example, which was a game she enjoyed playing with her father in the woods near their home. She also has a vivid imagination and like many young girls, enjoys tea parties, even when the toys and snacks are all pretend.
At some point in her childhood, Grace lost her mother. The details are vague apart from it occurring directly or indirectly having to do with Jefferson’s line of work prior to his isolation. After accepting one last job for Regina, Jefferson ended up trapped in Wonderland for an undetermined amount of time. This meant that Grace was effectively orphaned. Even though he never returned, she must have held onto the blind hope that he would one day. That hope reappeared when the curse was finally broken in Storybrooke and she could remember her previous life. She made handmade posters to post around the town to find her father (that were quite well drawn). When Jefferson finally approached her, Grace informed him that she knew he would find her.
It says a lot about her character for her to have held onto this hope for so long during the time that she was in the other realm and when she had her memories in Storybrooke. It’s a bit naïve, perhaps, but this is a girl who can’t be more than eleven or twelve years old. On the other hand, this indicates a positive overall outlook of life. Combine this with a friendly personality and you have a girl who would try to keep things from getting her down. She is capable of making friends and was always seen with at least two other girls when she was in Storybrooke. Her friendliness goes beyond just her friend circle; she’s the type of person who will take a moment to say hello to anyone she knows when she sees them. Grace is also well-mannered and follows directions. As a student, she probably made did very well.
Her relationship with her father is another defining aspect for her, in that it’s the most important one she has. Their relationship is strong, and as previously indicated, she’s able to read him well. She enjoyed helping him forage in the forest and he was always sure to put her first. They’ve worked together, played together. Grace is happiest when she’s at her father’s side. After all, family is important to her and he’s all she has left.
First Person: [Grace looks around the train station platform in confusion. She vaguely remembers getting off the train, much less how she even got on it. The disorienting feeling eventually fades and once it does, she wanders the platform. How did she get here? Where is she? A short walk around the platform leads her to a sign that at least answers one of those questions. Ruby City.
It’s not a place she’s ever heard of before. Is it safe? She doesn’t exactly have a way to protect herself if there’s anything bad here. Her best bet is to figure out how the communicator works. It takes a bit of time, because it’s unlike anything she’s used in Storybrooke. Soon, she gets the video feed to start.]
Hello? My name is Grace and I think I’m lost. I live in a town called Storybrooke with my Papa. I’m supposed to be there with him. How did I get here?
Third Person: It was a weird sort of feeling, suddenly having memories of two different lives in your head at once. It was really complicated and confusing, and the best thing Grace could think of was to not worry about it for now. This was surprisingly easy, because she had her Papa now. After so long, she was finally with him and everything could go back to being how it was again. That would be very nice, and she was sure it would make her Papa happy too.
It was strange that for so long, they’d lived so close to each other but she’d never even known because of the curse. She’d never even noticed the huge house nearby, but here she was, inside it having a long overdue tea party. It was the best afternoon Grace had had in years. Hours passed and Grace enjoyed every minute of it. But as all things must, it eventually came to an end. This time, it wasn’t due to a curse—merely fatigue.
When she woke up, though, that was a different story. She wasn’t in a bed as she should’ve been, but instead on a train. She was completely alone, even though she didn’t feel it. That was possibly worse. What was going on? Where was her Papa? Grace was determined to find out something, anything.
The train finally stopped. Only mystery lied ahead. Would there be anyone there? Was this all a dream? Or was this something far more dangerous than she could even imagine? The uncertainty was frightening but she knew she had no other choice. She got up and stepped out onto the platform, where she was met with silence and not a soul around.
